Public Works Director

The Municipality of Murrysville, a premier home rule community in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, with a population of 21,000, is currently recruiting for the position of Public Works Director. Murrysville is a Home Rule municipality which maintains 154 miles of roads, twelve parks, two park reserves and three public buildings with a twenty person staff. The Municipality annually budgets in excess $2MM of capital improvement projects which includes an aggressive capital equipment replacement schedule and road improvement program.

This position performs complex supervisory, administrative and professional work in planning organizing, directing and supervising the Department of Public Works and Parks. Graduation from a four year college or university, a minimum of six years public works experience including road maintenance or a combination of both is the minimum requirement. Salary range for the position is $65,000 to $75,000.
