Geotechnical Engineer - Tetra Tech (Langhorne, PA). Must have proof of legal authorization to work in U.S.

Your Role:

• Support an engineering team conducting geotechnical, civil, and structural engineering evaluations and designs for a range of complex projects in the in the areas of alternative and renewable energy facilities (wind, solar, biofuels, etc.), coastal and marine facilities, industrial facilities, dams, solid waste, environmental remediation, and military facilities throughout the United States and internationally.
• Project requirements and associated tasks vary widely, and the engineer is required to multitask, and manage workload to accommodate those requirements.  
• Duties may include the collection and documentation of field data including geotechnical samples; driller oversight; measurements, and the operation of instruments in a safe manner that ensures the quality and integrity of the data to support engineering evaluations that may be used for regulatory decisions, legal disputes, and PE sealed designs.
• Application of geotechnical engineering principles.
• Performs advanced analysis and forensic analyses of slopes and retaining structures related to environmental remediation.
• Completion of detailed analytical calculations and the interpreting conditions in complex situations with special constraints related to contamination issues including:
  • Geotechnical, geological.
  • Civil engineering and structural behavior.
  • Slope stability, marine and tidal conditions analysis, cantilever and anchored wall analyses, and manual calculations in Mathcad.
  • Various protocols including USEPA, USDOD, state and local requirements.
