**NOTICE**

In accordance with the BHN Mandatory COVID vaccine policy - all staff, interns, temps, residents and contractors are required to be fully vaccinated no later than day one of employment. Medical or religious exemptions will be offered and must be approved prior to starting work.

The same guidelines noted above apply during flu season (defined as December 1st – through end of flu season as announced by the CDC) for BHN’s Mandatory Influenza Vaccine policy.

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Carlson Recovery Center program with the following:

  • Effectively resolving daily operational issues of the unit/clinical area.
  • Effectively delegating, negotiating and facilitating problem solving of unit based issues as needed and providing feedback to team members.
  • Providing leadership and supervision to the nurses and Recovery Specialists to ensure the quality care that incorporates the clinical understanding of addiction, dual diagnosis, and related health care issues.
  • Identifying and addressing complex individual/family needs and system issues in developing a dynamic plan of care.
  • Considering the impact of cultural differences on care and incorporating culturally sensitive interventions using consultation and resources.
  • Planning for expected and unexpected changes with and making clinical decisions on complex, challenging individuals.
  • Empathizing and establishing healthy therapeutic relationships with individuals served.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and accreditation agency standards.

 

Who are we?

The Carlson Recovery Center serves those 18 years of age and older who are suffering from drug and alcohol addiction within the first 5-7 days of their recovery. The 32-bed program is also open to those who are under a court order to seek treatment. A 24-hour multidisciplinary team, including a Medical Director, a board-certified Family Physician, and an Addiction Medicine Physician, provides acute treatment and detoxification services.

Job Requirements

What are we looking for in a Nurse Manager?

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree (preferred), or Diploma/ Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience (required).
  • Current Nursing License by the Massachusetts Board of Registration (required).
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and CARF standards.
  • Two years of sobriety required as required by the funding source BSAS, if applicable (required).
