Summary:
Manages and operates the Dining and Nutrition Services foodservice software applications for the hospital system. Responsible for all aspects of application support including but not limited to: design, analysis, configuration, testing, system documentation, and training if indicated. Works collaboratively with all levels of the DNS management team, software providers, and other hospital departments to ensure timely implementation and ongoing maintenance of recipe database, menu database, and meal delivery systems for patients and retail customers.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Associates degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
- In lieu of a degree, any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below.
- Three years of experience in foodservice and/or point-of-sale software application administration
- One to three years of clinical and/or foodservice operational management experience, preferably in an acute care setting
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and similar products
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex software systems
- Ability to work independently and within deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate to various stakeholders including management, associates, and customers.
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- Experience with CBORD brand foodservice software
- Culinary experience in recipe development and nutritional analysis
- Knowledge of financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational practices.
- Experience with electronic medical record application integration
Physical Requirements:
- May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
- May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
- See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
- Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
- Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
- May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion.
- Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
- Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
