4 North is a 40 bed cardiac care unit that provides the best cardiovascular care. Most common diagnosis see on 4 North includes heart failure, Cardiac Arrhythmia Conduction Disorder, Acute Myocardial Infaraction, Cardiac Catherization for Ischemic Heart Disease, ect. 4 North is committed to serving the community by providing a superior standard of cardiovascular care to patients, this unit is a great unit to learn and grow!

 

 

 The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given patient population with the established standards and practices of Crouse Hospital.  This process is enacted through direct clinical practice, management of patient care and general professional duties.

 

Required:IF HIRED OR LICENSED AS A REGISTERED NURSE PRIOR TO 1/1/2017:

Graduate of an accredited Nursing degree.  Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire or within 2 weeks after hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within one (1) year of the hire date, if deemed necessary for the position based on the scope of the assigned role. Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification for Registered Nurses working in the Kienzle Family Maternity Center must be obtained by the end of orientation. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

IF HIRED OR LICENSED AS A REGISTERED NURSE ON OR AFTER 1/1/2017:

Graduate of an accredited Nursing degree.  Must complete BSN (Bachelors in Nursing within eight (8) years of hire date into the Registered Nurse Position).   Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.  If hired as a Graduate Nurse, a NYS limited licensure work permit must be obtained within ninety (90) days of graduation and the Graduate Nurse must successfully pass the NCLEX exam within 120 days of the beginning of employment to obtain the required professional nursing licensure with New York State.  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire or within 2 weeks after hire. Preferred: Certification in a specialty area.

Work Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm, 7:00am-7:30pm M-F rotating weekends & holidays
