Domestic Violence Advocate
At BHN, you can help develop and provide new healthcare-based services to support survivors of domestic abuse.
Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Domestic Violence Advocate in the Domestic Violence Services program at Behavioral Health Network! This position is a part-time opportunity with potential to grow into full-time.
Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Domestic Violence Services program with the following:
- Serving as a key component to local community response to Domestic Violence in this rural region of Massachusetts.
- Providing short-term victim support and crisis intervention.
- Offering problem solving and referrals to community services for survivors of domestic violence.
- Offering education about the dynamics of abuse.
- Providing safety planning and risk assessments, emotional support, and case management.
- Being specially trained for this position.
- Being immediately available to respond following a domestic violence incident.

Job Requirements:
What are we looking for in a Domestic Violence Advocate?
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferred).
- At least one year of experience with social services, case management, or working survivors of domestic or sexual violence (required).
- At least 30 hours of Domestic Violence Advocacy/Sexual Assault training.
- Valid driver's license.
