Come join our team! The Community Corrections Division is recruiting for our Caseworker position. Caseworkers work with a diverse population of adult offenders who may have multiple health, mental health, alcohol, and/or substance abuse concerns.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in working with at-risk adults in a behavioral health organization, correctional or security-oriented environment. Job-related experience to include conducting assessments, programming, and one-on-one and group counseling related to behavior and/or program orientations.
We are looking to fill current and future Term-Limited Temporary/SDA DAJD Caseworker positions. The anticipated duration of this assignment is 18 months, although it may end earlier; TLT/special duty durations are subject to change and may either be extended or revoked at any time. This recruitment may be used to generate a pool for future Caseworker vacancies. The List will remain in effect for up to 12 months but may expire sooner if the list of qualified candidates is exhausted.
About the division:
The Community Corrections Division has three programs – Community Center Alternative Programs (CCAP), Electronic Home Detention (EHD), and Intake Services Unit (ISU). Caseworkers work in CCAP and EHD.
The EHD and CCAP programs are housed in the King County Yesler Building, 400 Yesler Way in downtown Seattle. EHD work with participants that are out in the community completing their sentence. CCAP work with participants who partake in a continuum of structured programs.

The Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention (DAJD) is a professional and nationally recognized organization that supports safe, vibrant, and healthy communities in partnership with other criminal justice and human service agencies. DAJD operates the largest county jail in the State of Washington, housing an average daily population of more than 1400 inmates.

Work Schedule: The current opening is for a 40-hour workweek. Candidates are required to be available to work shifts Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Schedule assignments are subject to the staffing needs of the department.
