Job Details:

• Salary: $13 - $14 per hour
• Job type: Part-time
• Schedule: Monday - Friday mornings 5 1/2 hours per day

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Childcare experience: 1 year preferred of early childhood teaching
• Minimum 18 years old

Requirements, Responsibilities and Duties:

• Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or willing to obtain.
• Basic computer proficiency
• The ability to complete required trainings within 120 days of hire
• TB test and fingerprints or fingerprint clearance before first day of employment
• The ability to work effectively with our team
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Compatibility with our organization’s mission, philosophy and goals
• Supervising children
• Creating lesson plans in alignment with Nevada Pre-K State Standards
• Communication with director, teacher aides, parents and students
• Maintain continuing education as required by the state of Nevada
• Other related duties as needed

St. Teresa of Avila Child Development Center is a non-profit agency serving children and families in northern Nevada since 2009. We maintain an excellent reputation in Carson City for early childhood development. We are affiliated with St. Teresa of Avila Catholic School and are located on the same campus. The purpose of St. Teresa of Avila Child Development Center is to foster spiritual, social/emotional, academic, and physical child development for our students. We have designed a curriculum and daily schedule which will have reachable goals for each child admitted into our program.  We serve children aged 3-5 in a safe, faith-filled environment.
