Waynesburg University is seeking applicants for the position of Academic Support Specialist
This is a part-time, non-benefits eligible, position. Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Counseling, Education, or related field preferred. Prior successful experience in an academic support role desired. Capable of working independently, candidates should possess strong analytical, organizational and communication skills and have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with various constituent groups.
Responsibilities include responding to inquiries and concerns submitted to the student referral system; working collaboratively with faculty and staff in providing comprehensive support to students who are in need of assistance, struggling academically, and/or who are registered with the Office of Disability Services; proctoring exams for students receiving testing accommodations; and serving as an Academic Mentor for the university's Mentoring Program.
