HVAC / Plumbing Project Manager

PROJECT MANAGER                                      

Salary Range $83,200 to $105,000 based on experience/ knowledge

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall success of the project and the face of the company to local client representatives. Position is responsible for interfacing with costumers to partner with them and find construction solutions to meet their various needs, management of commercial construction, developing strong customer and subcontractor business relationships that will enable consistent and reliable quality communication with clients. He/she establishes or confirms the construction schedule and manages the budget, including the monitoring and controlling of subcontractors and vendors costs. Projects range from $100K to $3 Million.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Includes the following:

Regularly consults with and reports to the General Contractor concerning project performance; takes direction from General Contractor concerning performance; takes direction from General Contractor to establish, implement, and enforce polices and procedures in compliance with corporate standards and relevant laws and regulations; identifies the need for and implements corrective action; and ensures overall contractual compliance.

Thoroughly understands the contract and ensures accurate execution of plans, specifications, and statement of work, performance, task orders and all other project-related plan procedures. Establishes the project schedule and budget. Monitors the progress schedule and budget to ensure that project is completed timely within budget. Ensures manpower needs are met during each phases of work Review all project invoicing from Subs & Vendors for accuracy and approve for payment

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Construction, Construction Management, or equivalent (would be a plus) Ten (+) year’s successful experience as a Project Manager or above Five (+) years of construction field experience in the role of Quality Control Manager, Construction Superintendent, and/or Field Foreman with Project Manager experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Technical ability to understand drawings and specifications Strong business writing and oral communication skills Knowledge of Timberline Software or other project management software Advanced abilities in current versions of MS Office (word, Excel, Outlook) Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking and comprehension) Demonstrated knowledge of business and management principles required for strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership and coordination of project resources Willingness and care to look out for projects and company’s bottom line profitability Capability to working through or diffusing intense situations as they come up on assigned projects
