The Project Manager, PMO will manage the definition, planning and execution of a variety of software, infrastructure and system integration projects and supporting product launch.  They will build productive relationships and collaborate across the entire business including Executive Leadership, Product Management, and Technology as well as external partners. 

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Manage various initiatives across the organization, including internal and customer-facing processes, products and compliance efforts 
  • Assist in defining project scope and objectives, and identifying a plan to effectively manage changes to scope 
  • Create and maintain a schedule and project plan with the project team, identifying and understanding all factors which will influence this throughout the project lifecycle  
  • Coordinate efforts with third parties / vendors 
  • Partner with sponsor and necessary departments to assess external and internal impact, and secure and manage stakeholder involvement throughout the lifecycle of the project 
  • Work with the project team to identify, analyze and manage issues, constraints, assumptions and risks 
  • Facilitate project meetings to ensure requirements and actions are tracked and met 
  • Drive project team to key decisions and actions to keep the project on track 
  • Identify and manage dependencies with other projects and efforts at EBSCO Information Services (EIS) and EBSCO Corporate Offices 
  • Develop and execute project communication plans ensuring visibility on progress for key stakeholders 
  • Complete and maintain core PMO project documentation for each project 
  • Provide feedback and take action to improve PMO processes 
  • Drive efficiency and standard work practices around launches across departments

Skills or Experience Needed: 

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years work experience in a business or technical environment 
  • 2+ years’ experience working on cross-functional and cross-organizational projects 
  • 2+ years of indirect/direct team leadership experience 
  • Experience with project management tools and techniques 

 

Skills That Set You Apart: 

  • Experience working with various project management methodologies (lean-agile, Kanban, scrum, waterfall, etc.) 
  • Experience in coaching and training other team members and/or departments 
  • Experience with EBSCO products or related products / markets
