Dynamic Health from EBSCO Health is an innovative evidence-based resource that helps nurses and health professionals master critical skills, aid decision-making, and improve competencies.

Users can find current, actionable information about procedures, diseases/conditions, signs/symptoms, care interventions, and diagnostic tests that support core competencies along with content focused on transcultural care, patient education and leadership.

The Nursing Content Writer/Editor will work closely with the Content Development Editors, Section Editors (Directors), and Editor-in-Chief to develop and maintain clinical leadership content with a focus on nursing and allied health. Content areas include finance and budgeting, healthcare costs, workplace and human resources, leadership development, quality, compliance, patient satisfaction, staffing and scheduling, preceptorship, process, theory, and models of care.

Skills Needed:

  • Clinical experience and knowledge of practice at the point of care
  • Leadership experience and knowledge in a clinical setting
  • Excellent clinical writing and editing skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to translate researched evidence into written clinical recommendations and into standard templates for online and mobile point-of-care practice tools
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice principle and the research process and analysis, and familiarity with health and leadership resources
  • Ability to participate in peer review and NCPD educational evaluations
  • Proficient with and access to MS Office including WORD, including “track changes”

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or clinical field
  • 2 years clinical leadership experience (manager, director, or comparable experience)
  • 5 years clinical point of care experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree, and/or PhD, DNP, and/or other terminal degree
  • 3+ years of clinical leadership experience

This is a contract position. All writing and editorial work can be completed remotely. Position screening will include a brief writing/editing test and a writing sample
