**NOTICE**

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the program with the following:

  • Performs intake, assessment and telephonic crisis services.
  • Provides crisis behavioral health services to youth, adults and their families.
  • Illustrates clinical competence pertaining to children, adolescents, adults and families.
  • Works collaboratively with shift supervisor to support to shift activities by assisting with case consultations, triage and/or case assignments.
  • Responsible for running a shift the absence of the shift supervisor
  • Participates in training and meetings as needed.

Who are we?

The Senior Crisis Clinician performs mental health intakes and health assessments to adults, youth and their families in order to determine their treatment needs. The Senior Crisis Clinician also assists with case consults, triage, case assignments and other shift duties as designated by a shift supervisor. The Senior Crisis Clinician position are on both community- based and hospital-based crisis teams.

What are we looking for in this position?

  • Master’s Degree in related field. (Required)
  • Must exhibit willingness to lead by example.
  • Must demonstrate the desire to foster a supportive work environment and a cohesive team.
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months employment within BHN Crisis Services (required).
  • Strong motivational interviewing skills, ability to complete mental status exam, ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team, and to follow through on individual and group tasks.
  • Must have familiarity with internet, word processing and email systems.
  • Must display empathic skills, ability to establish rapport with consumers, family members and service providers.
  • Good observation, thorough documentation skills, ability to provide solution focused strengths based treatment.
  • Must exhibit desire for own learning and take initiative to enhance knowledge of populations served.
