Public Health - Seattle & King County (DPH) is seeking a Program Manager III (Project/Program Manager III) position within the Administrative Services Division, to manage the Consolidated Contract with the Washington State Department of Health, coordinating with the State Department of Health (DOH), department leadership, program, and fiscal staff to streamline contract methods – promoting a more efficient use of public health funds and improving public health outcomes.
The Consolidated Contract with the Washington State Department of Health is the mechanism used to transmit federal and state funding for public health services to the local health jurisdictions where the services are delivered.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to identify innovative ways to enhance our effectiveness in meeting department operational expectations and improving communication and transparency with contractual partners. development and reporting of targets, performance measures, strategies and actions, and analysis of budget needs and cost recovery options.
The position is expected to have a strong technical background in contract developments, monitoring and management, and knowledge and experience in public health.
This position will model and build a culture of excellence, transparency, and accountability: incorporating the County's Equity and Best Run Government principles, and ensuring policies, practices, and agreements are followed; and, guiding in a manner consistent with the strategic plans. The position is expected to be highly skilled at building relationships with stakeholders, facilitating discussions, and making decisions that satisfy diverse interests and contribute to organization goals; and effectively communicating key strategies to program management, fiscal staff, and leadership.
