The department maintains a pro-equity focus aimed at developing the systems and standards necessary to achieve better outcomes for all county residents, regardless of race, gender identity or income.

We are recruiting for two positions centrally located within the Performance Measurement and Evaluation (PME) unit of the DCHS Director's Office. These Career Service positions will lead evaluation and performance measurement support for the Housing Homelessness and Community Development Division (HHCDD). The division is home to work such as DCHS’ support of the Affordable Housing Committee’s regional housing policy coordination, funding for the development and preservation of affordable housing, housing repair program, Youth Family Homelessness Prevention Initiative, Eviction Prevention and Rental Assistance Program, and the newly created Health through Housing program that aims to house 1,600 chronically homeless households. The two open positions will work closely together but be accountable for distinct bodies of work. Specifically:

  1. The Regional Housing Lead Evaluator will lead a team of 2-3 evaluators focused initially on supporting data analytics and the evolution of a performance and accountability framework for King County’s regional affordable housing policy work while also leading data development efforts to create new data sources for understanding evictions, the current production pipeline of affordable units, and existing income restricted units.
  2. The Housing Stability & Homelessness Lead Evaluator will lead a team of 2-3 evaluators responsible for performance measurement and evaluation of the Seattle-King County Continuum of Care’s homeless response system as well as homelessness prevention programs and homeless housing initiatives.

WHO MAY APPLY: These positions are open to all qualified candidates that meet the minimum qualifications.

REQUIRED MATERIALS: Candidates who wish to be considered must submit a complete King County application online and respond to the supplemental questions.

WORK SCHEDULE:
This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Typical hours are Monday - Friday 8am-5pm.

UNION MEMBERSHIP: This position is represented by PROTEC17.
