Lead Cook Full Time  - We are offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus

POSITION SUMMARY: To prepare all hot food items that are served in the dining room.  This preparation will be done from scratch and from frozen.  Adherence to recipes and consistency of product is imperative.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares Quality Food

1. Preparation of all foods utilizing approved recipes and techniques.
2. Planning, organizing, and carry out cooking duties in a timely manner.
3. Responsible for preparation of all foods with the constant concern for freshness and quality. Must have basic culinary knowledge. Tastes all products to be served
4. Responsible for pulling meats for future menus.
5. Responsible for prep and baking as needed.

Maintains Operations

1. Responsible for Cold Side production as needed.
2. Duties as assigned by Chef.
3. Storage: assist in unpacking items delivered i.e.: canned goods, produce and meat, etc. according to code.
4. Work closing shift as needed and complete closing check list.
5. Fill out refrigeration temp logs, notify supervisor right away if there is a problem.
6. In absence of Chef, responsible for meal check list, temperature and taste check list.

   Maintains a Safe and Clean Working Environment

   1. Adhere to all sanitation policies during food preparation and service.
   2. Responsible for proper food handling techniques. Including temp logs, Production sheets, counts, reporting any issues to supervisor.
   3. Responsible for completion of itemized sanitation check list and production records daily.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must pass required health screen and testing before employment begins and yearly thereafter, as applicable to the position.
2. Must have an acceptable criminal history report as defined by the Older Adults Protective Services Act and its amendments.
3. Must be able to read and write the English language.
4. Must have previous restaurant or heath care cooking experience.
5. Must interact well with co-workers.
6. Must be able to bend, stoop, lift and carry 50 pounds of weight.
7. Must have a neat and consistent appearance.
8. Must be able to interact with management and residence.
