Conshohocken Housing Rehabilitation Program seeking General Contractors Conshohocken is seeking General Contractors to work in its Housing Rehabilitation Program. The Program provides construction services to bring properties into compliance with the local building code and housing quality standards. Program activities include roofing, heating, window replacement; plumbing and electrical improvements; kitchen and bathroom remodeling; concrete work; handicapped accessibility; etc. All properties are tested for lead based paint and radon; and may require remediation. The Program completes between 5 and 8 properties annually. Payment is based on satisfactory inspection of work completed. While not required, contractors experienced in lead paint abatement and/or safe work practices are encouraged to participate. Conshohocken is an equal opportunity employer.
