Duties:  Work with Business & Technology Management for end to end application scoping, development, and post implementation support. Meet regularly with Business partners to prioritize work in queue and client requests. Work as part of an Agile team and work with the Product Owner to deliver requested enhancements. Perform analysis like a BA, design and perform testing like QA analyst. Design and build code as a developer. Identify/mitigate risks to delivering solutions on time. Partner with peer developers to develop skills. Provide constructive feedback on others within the team to support their growth. Design and develop Mainframe batch processing cycles for Check Print application using COBOL, DB2, VSAM and JCL. Create and modify online screens for Check Print application using CICS and DB2. Develop and install various technical modules to onboard a client onto the Check Print application. Develop various mainframe software modules using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, Assembler, SQL, ZEKE and NDM for onboarding a new client onto the application. Support the production management group to trouble shoot and resolve issues happening in production region. Work on tasks related to performance tuning of existing COBOL, DB2 and JCL modules to improve the processing efficiency. Work on process improvement initiatives related to compliance and cost savings.

Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Minimum experience required: 5 years of experience in Application Development / Programming in Mainframe Technologies, or related experience.

Skills required: Must have experience designing and developing Mainframe software applications. Must have experience in FileAid, Job Scheduling. Must have experience Financial Services technology areas. Must have experience in writing technical specifications and preparing test plans. Must have experience in version & revision control practices & procedures. Must have experience in Assembler. Must have experience in Agile principles and methodologies. Must have experience in Mainframe technologies COBOL, DB2, JCL, NDM, CICS and REXX. Must have experience in analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of software applications. Must have experience analyzing and troubleshooting issues during software production support. Must have experience in Mainframe software change management using CHANGEMAN or ENDEVOR. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.
