Senior Back End Engineer (job location is Los Angeles, CA; employer is ShopNation, Inc.) - Develop cost-effective information technology solutions by creating new & modifying existing software applications. Participate in application design meetings to conduct code reviews & unit testing. Review source code to assure quality & precision. Work w/ products, editorial, marketing, front-end, & QA teams to provide infrastructure support for current & future development initiatives. Assist in determining specifications & develop, assist, modify & expand system programs to achieve business goals. Perform system enhancements & make scalability improvements to help ensure overall system scalability, functionality & solution recommendations. Conduct systems analysis w/ a focus on internal standards, coding, testing, security & documentation. Develop & implement solutions for increased performance, including the implementation of backend features. Implement solutions for inventory processing (product feed processing, revenue processing, external feed processing). Req's: Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering & 2 yrs of exp in the position offered or in a Software Engineer position. All req'd exp must have included developing software solutions for increased performance & stability, including through the implementation of backend features; building packaging programs & build processes for web applications; using Spring, Elasticsearch, Lucene, Java, JUnit & REST services to provide application & systems design & unit testing as well as development support; & developing & integrating highly scalable, maintainable & independently deployable microservices to solve business problems.
