Hours: 36hrs/week 

Details: 12 hour shifts

Shifts: Rotating 1st and 3rd shift (additional shift differential for 3rd shift)

Schedule: 4-6 week rotation (1st shift 7am-7pm; 3rd shift 7pm-7am)

1. Maintains continuous observation of patient.
2. Maintains patient safety by: direct supervision, reorienting and redirecting confused patient, following safety standards (i.e. fall prevention, suicide precautions).
3. Communicates with nurse any changes in patient behavior or condition.
4. Communicates effectively with patient and family.
5. Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes
6. Possess and obtain working knowledge of external and inter-facility protocols and standards of practice
7. Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations
8. Delivering exceptional customer service while facilitating communication across multiple disciplines
9. Work with all System Operations Center staff in a team orientated, collaborative approach
10. Responsible for promoting a Best Place to Work Culture and positive and professional work environment
11. Actively participates in the development and implementation of performance/quality improvement
12. Other duties as assigned

• High School Equivalent / GED
• STNA Certification preferred (not required)
• 1-3 years of acute care hospital direct patient care experience OR 1-3 years of patient observation experience
