Full Time and Part Time Police Officers

Applications are currently being accepted until 4:00 PM on Monday, November 28, 2022, for the civil service hiring of full-time and part-time police officers. Applicants must have completed PA Act 120 MPOETC Training, have a valid Pennsylvania motor vehicle operator’s license, possess a high school diploma, or equivalent GED, be 21 years of age, be a citizen of the United States of America, be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a police officer, and meet all other civil service requirements. A $25.00 application fee made out to “Township of Leet” along with an Informed Consent Form and a Medical Release Form must accompany all completed applications. Application fees will be returned or refunded to the applicant upon completion of the physical agility test. Applications can be obtained in person at the Leet Township Municipal Building, 194 Ambridge Avenue, Fair Oaks, PA 15003 Monday through Friday 9 AM to 4 PM, or “leettownship.org/homepage”.

Physical agility testing will be administered according to MPOETC Physical Fitness Assessment Standards based on applicants’ gender and age and will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 10:00 AM (please arrive by 9:45 AM) at the RMU Track at the Neville Island Sports Complex, 7600 Grand Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15225. (If the weather is prohibitive, the alternate test date will be Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 10:00 AM.) The written examination will also be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at noon at the Fair Oaks Fire Department, Sta. 308, 190 Ambridge Avenue, Fair Oaks, PA 15003 (next to the Leet Township Municipal Building). Other mandatory components of the exam include an oral exam, a background check, a post-offer medical examination, and a post-offer psychological examination.
