Job Description | Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Reynolds is committed to hiring and retaining a racially diverse, culturally competent staff at all levels of the organization who reflect the demographics of our students. We also believe in providing an ongoing investment in our faculty and staff to deepen their skills and competencies to serve the full range of our student population. The Director of Marketing is responsible for the development and implementation of the college-wide marketing efforts of Reynolds Community College. The Director is also a member of the Institutional Advancement leadership team. Responsibilities include advertising, brand management, publications, internal communications, and digital presence. The goals of the position include creating and maintaining broad general awareness and understanding of the college’s mission and offerings, and community prominence in the greater Richmond metropolitan region. |

KSA's/Required Qualifications | Master’s degree in a related field required. Considerable knowledge of marketing, communications, advertising, printing, and market research. Demonstrated skill in creative strategy development. Demonstrated skill in the creation and implementation of large-scale marketing programs. Demonstrated organization skills required to oversee the completion of large-scale projects. Demonstrated ability to prioritize work duties and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Demonstrated skills in supervisory management and program evaluation to assign tasks and review and improve performance. Demonstrated skills in fiscal management, including budgeting, procurement, and negotiation with vendors. Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and relate information about internal and external relationships and issues that promote the image and general well-being of the college. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and written (technical, journalistic, and business.). Demonstrated acumen for collaboration and communication with a diverse faculty and staff. |
Additional Considerations | Current marketing experience in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment utilizing creative marketing ideas, procedures, methods, and strategies and evaluating and assessing those strategies to appropriately. Experience in higher education helpful but not required. |
