Applications are being accepted for the following full time position: District Computer Tech Level I $17.86 - $ 19.68/hour depending on experience, 8 hours/day, 12 months/year, Monday-Friday. AA degree w/emphasis in technology or Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems desired; OR three (3) years of progressively responsible computer operations experience with course work in personal computer and network systems.
Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Education and Information Technology, the District Computer Technician will manage and support the district’s technology end user devices, including computer hardware and software, wireless internet access, telephones, security systems and other technology devices as needed. The District Computer Technician will support other district classified staff including district office data and testing and business office staff, as well as site personnel.
The District Computer Technician is responsible for supporting the technology needs of the district, including but not limited to educational and curriculum needs, Web support, testing and data tracking and reporting, business services functions, as well as assisting teachers, administrators, Lab Techs, and other district staff. With direction from the Director of Education and Information Technology, this position is expected to make quick, knowledgeable, and accurate decisions while troubleshooting computer systems, and other systems or devices. The District Computer Technician is also to use good judgment and take initiative in performing this job.
