Working Supervisor

Mechanicville Housing Authority

General Duties:

• Performs a variety of physical work in connection with maintenance, repair and upkeep of buildings, units, grounds, equipment, furnaces and boiler room operations.
• Must have knowledge, skills and work experience including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, custodial, power equipment/tools, appliances, etc.
• Responsible for purchase of small material supplies inventory for buildings and equipment.
• Reports directly to and consults with the Executive Director on a continuing basis on all phases of work responsibilities.
• Supervision is exercised over the work of one or more helpers.
• Familiarity with basic computer operation is desirable.

Requirements:

• Valid NYS (New York State) driver license with clean driving record.
• As a condition of employment considered applicant must pass a medical examination at the expense of the Housing Authority.
• City of Mechanicville Civil Service Application must also be completed by applicants prior to resumes being considered.

Salary range $46,000-$50,000 plus benefit package.

Preference given to immediate Mechanicville area residents.
