What this role is all about:

We are looking for a Packager in Le Sueur, Minnesota.

12 hour shifts, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, working 7 days in a two week period.

Starting Wage: $17.79 an hour

Shift Differential: $1.50

Double Time on Sundays

The Packager is the final stage in the Agropur production process. This position is responsible for bagging the ingredients and ensuring it meets standard production requirements. As well as properly sealing and stacking the package to meet each customer's needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Bagging of product in 50 pound bags, 25 KG bags or 40 pound boxes as well as pushing / pulling products weighing up to 170 pounds.

• Be able to work at floor level, waist level and shoulder level repetitively.

• Loading bags or boxes to the dryer.

• Take samples of powder.

• Weigh the product and adjust the product levels to match the exact weight.

• Move pallets in and out of rooms using a pallet jack.

• Use metal detector to scan product.

• Number the packages with marker.

• Be able to move up and down ladders and stairs.

• Perform job tasks with adherence to all company standard operating procedures.

• Complete work timely, efficiently, and with optimal quality standards.

• Conduct work in a safe manner and abide by all company safety policies.

• Maintain a clean work environment to meet good manufacturing practices.

• Attend all mandatory trainings and meetings

• Keep all areas of work clean and organized including bagging rooms and mixing areas

• Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of cleaning requirements throughout the Plant and adhere to the Master Sanitation Schedule

• Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of duties and responsibilities during a full system CIP on both drying systems

• Dump bags / totes of dry material and paste into the blending process. Packages vary in size.

• Follow direction from Mixing Operator

• Assist in pre-staging material for blending

• Be able to work 40+ hours a week on a rotating schedule

• be able to work weekends and off shifts as needed or assigned

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Requires the ability to communicate and document well.

The Requirements (Minimum Qualifications):

• High School degree or equivalent preferred.

Our presence in Le Sueur, MN, consists of the following locations; Le Sueur Cheese, The Friendly Confines Cheese Shoppe, Le Sueur Ingredients, Le Sueur Protein Research Center, and Le Sueur Business Office. These locations produce various types of cheeses, such as; Parmesan, Romano, Asiago, Gouda, Muenster, Monterey Jack, and Cheddar. They also run various whey streams, such as; whey protein isolate (WPI), whey protein concentrate 34 (WPC 34), whey protein concentrate 80 (WPC 80), and both pharma and food-grade lactose.

Le Sueur, MN, was the original home of the Jolly Green Giant.
