Must be high school graduate . Preferable to have at least one year experience with insurance verification and/or registration. Computer skills are required with a knowledge base in Windows. Basic typing skills. Previous experience in hospital registration or admitting, medical terminology and knowledge of insurance preferred. Must be articulate in oral and written expression and be able to interact with patients, their families and physicians in a calm and professional manner. Flexibility to work in other areas of the department. Normally works regularly scheduled hours but may be assigned to another shift or unit to provide adequate coverage based on levels of care in the department activities. Must work overtime when required. May include weekend, holiday, and disaster coverage.
