Job Summary
Prepares, researches, and analyzes financial and utilization information to support the department.
Essential FunctionsPerforms month-end close accounting responsibilities with a focus on the health plan: Priority Health. These duties include, but are not limited to preparing journal entries, analyzing general ledger activity, and compiling reports for other departments to utilize.
Prepares various financial statements required by regulatory bodies.
Works closely with internal and external auditors to support their examinations of the company.
Serves as a consultant to assigned areas of the organization to support the financial goals and objectives of Spectrum Health with a focus on Priority Health.
Required Bachelor's Degree Accounting, finance, business administration, economics, statistics or related field
Preferred Master's Degree Business or finance
3 years of relevant experience Finance, accounting or related work Required
Formal or informal leadership experience Preferred
LIC-Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - STATE_MI State of Michigan preferred
