POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting consumer with completing Medicaid and Healthy Michigan applications. Updates financial and demographic information. Verifies insurance eligibility. Processes General Fund Utilization, Monthly Deductible reports, and monitors Dial-A-Ride reporting system.

 

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent

 

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE: Requires two or more years’ experience working with insurance plans/benefits in a healthcare setting. Excellent organization, problem-solving and critical thinking skills required and demonstrated ability in data entry, spreadsheets, formulas, and word documents. Ability to collaborate with others in a team environment and effectively work independently. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.  Experience working with individuals with mental illness and/or substance use desired.
