Responsible for providing personal training for a variety of types of clientele and tailoring the workout plan to the customers health and wellness goals. Develops exercise programs based on customer goals and assessment findings. Instructs participant on proper form, technique. Provides motivation and feedback to client during the session. Markets personal training services to members and non members. Responsible for maintaining a personal training client base. Current Certified Personal Trainer through an accredited provider, i.e. ACSM, NSCA, NASAM, ACE, AFAA, NETA. Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, AED within 3 months of hire. Minimum of 6 months of one on one training. Strong communication and motivational skills. Demonstrates capability to instruct using appropriate biomechanics and use of biofeedback. Ability to recognize different levels of injury and to respond with first aid only. Excellent customer service skills. Demonstrates the ability to effectively educate and or communicate with individuals regarding lifestyle modification. Skill in measuring heart rate, blood pressure and obtaining rating of perceived exertion. Skill in conducting measures for body composition and conducting follow up education. Skill to teach and demonstrate specific exercises. Ability to adapt exercise programs based on chronic disease or other limitations. Fitness Equipment knowledge cardiovascular, strength, resistance.

High School Equivalent / GED Associates, Bachelors, Masters, Doctorate preferred in related field from an accredited college, university
