The City of Le Mars Fire-Rescue Department is currently accepting applications for Firefighter/EMT, AEMT or Paramedic. Successful applicant must pass an oral interview, physical agility test along with pre-employment medical physical. The Le Mars Fire-Rescue Department is a combination department that provides fire suppression, fire prevention & education, hazmat, technical rescue and emergency medical transport services and non-transport to the City of Le Mars and approximately 200 square miles of rural territory in Plymouth County around Le Mars serving over 15,000 residents.

The following must be met and copies of required information to be included with returned completed and signed application: *Must be minimum of 18 years old to apply. *Valid Driver's License issued by the state licensing agency (provide copy) *Copy of Vehicle Insurance Card (provide copy) *High School Diploma or GED equivalent (provide copy) *IFSAC / Pro Board-Certified Firefighter I & Haz-Mat Operations if certified (provide copy) *State of Iowa or NREMT: EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic (Provide Copy) *Valid AHA or Red Cross Healthcare Provider BLS Card if a Paramedic ACLS (provide copy) The City of Le Mars is an Equal Opportunity Employer
