The Assistant Program Director provides, oversees, manages, and maintains overall program quality and best practices within the In-Home Therapy and Therapeutic Mentor Programs. The Assistant Program Director supports the Program Manager in developing the global expansion and clinical quality in meeting all standards and specifications of the programs.

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the In-Home Therapy program with the following:

  • Providing effective leadership and direction to the In-Home Therapy Program staff, Therapeutic Mentor Program staff, Supervisors, and Team Leaders.
  • facilitating staff and clinical team meetings.
  • Guiding and establishing clinical services, objectives, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Supporting the Program Manager in developing the expansion and clinical quality of the In-Home Therapy Program and Therapeutic Mentor Program.
  • Assisting Program Manager with marketing in the Community and surrounding School systems.
  • Working collaboratively with the Program Manager to identify staffing needs, oversees recruitment, training, and qualifying of staff.
  • Assisting with the delivery of clinical services through team development and ensuring implementation of individual action plans and Comprehensive assessments.
  • Providing effective ongoing evaluation of staff performance.
  • Providing consultation, clinical supervisions of both In Home Therapy staff and Therapeutic Mentor staff, education, and training to staff.
  • Monitoring and reviews Comprehensive Assessments and Individual Action Plans as needed/required.
  • Responding to on-call needs of the programs as needed.
  • Responding to client/staff/provider’s complaints and mediates as needed.

The In-Home Therapy program at Behavioral Health Network is an intensive and flexible service that works with children and families to address and support behavioral health challenges. Services include family therapy, therapeutic training and support, care coordination and others, in any setting where the youth lives or attends school.

What are we looking for in an Assistant Program Director?

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of five years’ post-graduate experience providing behavioral health services to youth and families.
  • At least three years supervisory and/or management experience required.
  • Must be licensed at the independent practice level (LICSW, LMHC, PhD).
  • Must be certified in the Massachusetts CANS.
  • Must meet the credentialing criteria for master’s level Clinicians as outlined in the MCE’s most current Provider Manual for master’s level Clinicians.
