Licensed Clinical Neuropsychologist
Milestones Psychology is a thriving psychology group practice in the Flatiron District of New York City. We are a group of multidisciplinary clinicians who specialize in working with children in preschool through students in college, their families and their schools. We currently have an excellent opportunity for a full-time clinical neuropsychologist who has expertise in providing comprehensive neuropsychological and academic evaluations for children and adolescents with a variety of concerns. The population we typically work with have concerns including language or learning disorders, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other conditions that interfere with school functioning including intellectual disabilities, emotional disorders, and nonverbal learning weaknesses. The neuropsychologist will also develop treatment plans based on findings, and communicate results to family members, patients, referring professionals, and schools. We would love to expand our team's clinical breadth of expertise with a new team member that specializes in fields of practice that would strengthen or diversify the services we can provide. The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program in clinical psychology
Completion of an APA-approved clinical pre-doctoral internship
Completion of post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology
Minimum of three years of experience in either a clinical or private setting
New York State psychology license by beginning of employment
Flexibility with work schedule to meet productivity goals and deadlines
Team player and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Exceptional clinical skills in neuropsychological assessment of children and adolescents
Prior experience in providing school consultation for children with LD, ADHD, or other behavior problems
Demonstrated expertise in psychological evaluations (including the use of personality measures and projectives), and early childhood developmental evaluations
Demonstrated experience in working clinically with complex co-morbid presentations including mood, anxiety, personality, and other psychiatric disorders
Demonstrated experience with professional writing as well as with public speaking
Motivated self-starter with great attitude, flexibility, and enterprising spirit
Ability to work under pressure to prioritize and manage workload, manage simultaneous tasks, and meet deadlines within a fast-paced and changing environment
Strong teamwork ethic; positive, flexible attitude; ability to take complete ownership of responsibilities
Pay is a competitive percentage of gross income based on experience.
Benefits include medical insurance (employer to pay 50 percent of premium) and reimbursement for malpractice insurance and continuing education. Reimbursement for continuing education is included.
