Summary:
Downtown Public Health Center is looking for a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) who brings experience in working with diverse, complex, vulnerable adults suffering from mental health conditions, substance use and homelessness. This nurse will work in the Buprenorphine (BUPE) Pathways Program that is housed in the Downtown Public Health Center, in Seattle's Belltown This program is a collaborative care model designed with a harm reduction approach to help address the opioid epidemic and provide low barrier access for individuals to BUPE. This RN will coordinate with multiple programs within the facility and community in order to provide clients with seamless care. This RN will be instrumental in the development of individual's care plans. Responsibilities include screening, assessment, treatment monitoring and interventions, patient care planning, evaluation, and medical care coordination. This RN will provide nursing education to clients, their family members, or other supportive individuals about Buprenorphine therapy as well as risks, benefits, potential side effects, interactions, program requirements, consents and treatment contracts. This nurse will involve clients in the development of their care plans and work collaboratively with the clients to address their needs. The nurse maintains the clinic environment, coordinating the care team's efforts and maintains a positive relationship with the clients served.
Work location and schedule: Downtown Public Health Center is located at 2124 4th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98121. Typical work hours for this position is Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. but may work outside of these days/times based on operational needs.
