News-Press & Gazette Company (NPG), a family-owned and operated broadcaster, is looking for a Director of Technical Operations for their network of affiliated stations.  NPG is an innovative broadcaster with a well-defined business plan and seasoned management.  This is an opportunity to work for people who understand what it means to be a local broadcaster and community resource.

Preferred applicants should have at least five years’ experience in broadcast television production systems project management, master control automation systems, internet technology systems for both business and video transport, encoding and multiplexing systems and a familiarity with microwave and broadcast transmission facilities.  Applicants need a demonstrated ability to manage both capital planning and support agreements for all business and broadcast systems.  

The ability to work with and communicate with C-level managers, the president and directors of the company, general managers, news directors, traffic, administration and local chief engineers is crucial to this position. This position will manage a tier two group known as the "Digital Video Team" (DVE).  Experience with both trade and other technical organizations like the National Association of Broadcasters is desirable.  This position will report to the President of Broadcast Operations.
