Principal

The principal is the one who is to lead the school on a day-to-day basis and must lead first, and before all things, spiritually. One must be willing to lead with a servant’s heart and have a vision for the school and a passion for Christian education. The person must be willing to take the leadership role in serving the students, their parents, the faculty and staff and the community at large in the realm of Christian education. He/she must be a born-again Christian with a love for evangelism and serving children of all ages and diverse backgrounds.

General Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a school which is thoroughly Christian.
• Develop and maintain a school that is academically sound and strive for excellence.
• Assume responsible leadership of the school and its program. This involves assuming the role of administrator of the vision for the school.
• Prevent crises from occurring when possible, and deal with them in a timely and efficient manner when they do occur.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Exercise proactive leadership in promoting the vision and mission of the School Board.
2. Organize, administer, supervise, and coordinate personnel, curricula, equipment, all general records, all finances – and act as liaison between the School Board and the staff on matters of policy and benefits.
3. Pray for faculty, staff, student body, families of the school and board regularly.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, or Supervision, or Curricula.
• Five to ten years of related experience (classroom teacher, Assistant Principal and/or other leadership roles).
