The SouthWest Kansas Area Agency on Aging (SWKAAA), a not-for-profit corporation that provides services to older Kansans and persons with disabilities and directs the Ford County Housing Authority, is accepting resumes for a full time Executive Director to lead the day-by-day operations of the agency. Resumes will be accepted until 5:00 PM, September 30, 2022, but must be postmarked no later than Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. (Degree in Business Administration or Gerontology is preferred.)
2. Seven years management or administrative experience, preferably in public administration, gerontology, or a non-profit agency.
3. A valid Kansas driver’s license and the ability and willingness to travel overnight.
4. Willingness to work more than a 40-hour work week when necessary.
5. The following demonstrated knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:
   • a. Working knowledge and understanding of budgeting and accounting
   • b. General knowledge of needs of older persons and individuals with disabilities in the areas of health, social, economic nutrition, and other social determinants
   • c. General knowledge of the role of social and other service agencies in providing services to the elderly and individuals with disabilities
6. Knowledge of all activities under the Older Americans Act, Housing and Urban

Development (HUD), KDADS, and KDOC Policies and Procedures

$50,000.00--$60,000/year. D.O.E.
