ASRC Federal Field Services, a Subsidiary of ASRC Federal Holding Company, is currently seeking a Building Monitoring Systems Administrator at the Plum Island Animal Disease Research Center, located on Plum Island, NY. (1.5 nautical miles off North Fork of Long Island & 6 nautical miles off coats of Old Saybrook, CT) transport furnished.
Summary:
Serves in a support role to group of facility engineering professionals. Support activities to include oversight and maintenance of a variety of electronic building monitoring systems for a research laboratory and ancillary utility plants.
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Perform administration & operations of various electronic control systems.
- Monitor and adjust building systems controls to support bio-integrity functions of laboratory and security access systems.
- Perform troubleshooting techniques to identify and remedy system anomalies and malfunctions.
- Provide support to system designs, modifications and operational procedure.
- Maintain records of system configuration, diagrams and log problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by department manager.
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or GED.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Electronic controls professional with strong communication and customer service skills wanted for position in a diverse campus network environment.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving skills required.
- The successful candidate will have experience with electronic monitoring systems, HVAC and electrical experience.
- Experience with Johnson Controls and/or Siemens Systems preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Candidate must be physically able to move freely in environments that are restrictive in space, unsteady or otherwise not easily attainable.
- Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work within containment laboratory requires decontamination showers.
- Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
