Physical Requirements
This position requires regularly lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds; and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing). Also involves some exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to blood-borne or airborne pathogens, and combative/violent people.

Shift
Primarily day shift, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with rotating weekends and holidays.
Job Summary
The Physical Therapist will provide direct patient care and will assist the supervisor and senior leaders in program development while adhering to the policies and procedures of the University of Kentucky HealthCare Enterprise and in accordance with state and federal regulations. Additionally, this position will perform physical therapy evaluations and render physical therapy treatments following a physician’s order; treat patients with a variety of diagnoses; and perform appropriate documentation in the medical record.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and computer skills and will be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.

One to two years’ experience in hospital-based acute care preferred.
