  • Assist patients and health care needs as directed by clinician during Emergency Department visit including performing 12 lead EKGs, blood draws, initiate Hep-locks, bedside point of care testing, aerosol treatments.
  • Ensures the daily completion of point of care testing quality controls, defibrillator checks, refrigerator checks, transports.
  • Performs ABGs and gain IV access as directed by order.
  • Prepares patients and care environment for exam, specimen collection and anticipates needs of patients and providers proactively.
  • Performs delegated basic procedures as described by their annual competency based tool and orientation program.
  • Responsible and accountable for safe clinical practice, focused on expanding knowledge and skills.
  • Consistently provides effective relationship-based care as part of the interdisciplinary team to a variety of complex patients.
  • Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
  • Seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice.
  • Assumes a beginning leadership role and seeks mentoring in the process.

  • Graduated from a state accredited paramedic program.
