Southeast Washington Aging & Long Term Care (SE WA ALTC) supports an 8 County Area and provide older people living in their homes with Nutrition, Transportation, Legal Services, Family Caregiver Support Programs, Foot Care and Respite Services.
As part of the Older Americans Act mandate, SE WA ALTC must assemble a volunteer Advisory Council from each county served.
SE WA ALTC is accepting applications from interested citizens wishing to serve on the volunteer Advisory Council in Franklin County.
Volunteer Advisory Council Qualifications:
• Age 60+ interested in helping make decisions that impact older adults in Franklin County.
• Up to age 59 with a disability or representing a special population, interested in helping make decisions that impact older adults in Franklin County.
• Ability to attend quarterly and local meetings currently being held virtually through the pandemic. After the pandemic, members can attend (optional) conferences that may be held in the Tri-Cities, Olympia and Tacoma.**All travel is reimbursable by SE WA ALTC.
