Facilities Technician II and III

RFTA's Facilities department is looking for skilled individuals to help maintain its facilities by monitoring, repairing, and performing regular preventive maintenance. RFTA is hiring both a Facilities Technician II and a Facilities Technician III. Both positions are full-time and primarily in Glenwood Springs; with competitive pay and RFTA's full benefits package (health, life, dental, vision, ski pass, bonuses, and paid training). Must have experience with HVAC systems, boilers, plumbing, etc., as well as repairing and replacing equipment as necessary. Must be capable of performing hands on technical and skilled tasks utilizing an asset management system.

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of RFTA facilities and capital assets by ensuring they are kept in a state of good repair as directed by the Facilities management team. Performs repairs and maintenance of bus maintenance facilities, Rubey Park, RFTA bus stops, Employee Housing, Office buildings, and other facilities as directed by supervisor. Position responsible for fostering good working relationships with other departments within the organization. Incumbent operates, at times, with a high degree autonomy and it is expected that personnel in this position exhibit excellent decision making skills.
