Job Summary The Division of Pediatric Neurology at the University of Utah School of Medicine is seeking a Complex Epilepsy Clinical Nurse. This position provides clinical expertise and coordination of care and services aimed at enhancing patient-centered care and maximizing outcomes across the patient care continuum – including tracking and monitoring patient care to ensure progress towards desired outcomes, addressing patient and family needs, resolving obstacles to effective care and together with the interdisciplinary team. Comments Employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation. This position involves intensive work that may exert up to 100 pounds and may consistently require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, such as medical equipment, or patients while providing medical care. Workers in this position may be exposed to infectious diseases and may be required to function around prisoners and behavioral health patients. The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development and the ability to assess data regarding the patient’s status and provide care as described in the department’s policies and procedures manual. |
