§ High school diploma or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
§ Two years of general maintenance or construction of facilities, with preference given to maintenance experience.
§ Pass a written test in varied areas, such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing and general maintenance within six months of hire.
§ A person working in this classification will need, on a daily basis, to be able to:
o Grasp, lift, maneuver, rotate, and otherwise use small to large trades tools and equipment
o Grasp, lift, carry, and set down heavy objects (50-80 lbs.)
o Grasp, turn, twist, pull, push, lift, and otherwise move equipment, controls, parts, etc.
o Visually assess maintenance, construction, and repair needs
Climb and work from ladders, stairs, and scaffolding
o Work in areas where high levels of heat, moisture, dust, and noise are present
o Wear appropriate PPE while accomplishing assigned tasks
Must possess a valid driver’s license, which will allow legal operation of a motor vehicle in the State of Missouri.
