Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Patient Navigator in the Vaccine Equity program at Behavioral Health Network!

The Patient Navigator will provide the Vaccine Equity Program with clinic operational assistance. Using MIIS, Color, and other applications, the Patient Navigator will help to ensure data is up to date, patients are registered, and billing is done on time. This Patient Navigator will help to set up mobile clinic operations ensuring that all tents, tables, marketing, demographic forms and other signage is transported and set up at sites.

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Vaccine Equity program with the following:

  • Utilizing the agency’s technological systems (MIIS, Care logic, COLOR, Smartsheet's) to meet job responsibilities.
  • Providing administrative support functions to the department.
  • Interfacing effectively with clients, staff, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Helping to set up mobile clinic operations ensuring that all tents, tables, marketing, demographic forms and other signage is transported and set up at sites.
  • Ensuring all required steps are taken to maximize insurance billing for vaccine administration, including asking for and recording insurance information.

What are we looking for in a Patient Navigator?

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in customer service.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in healthcare/insurance and data management.
  • Familiarity with basic medical coding.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team and/or individually.
  • Bilingual English/ Spanish Speaking (preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Proficient use of COLOR systems, Carelogic software, MIIS software, Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Proficient use of the Internet.
  • Able to be trained and develop proficiency in other software applications.
  • Able to multi-task and manage multiple agendas at one time.
  • Temperament conducive to working in high demand and/or stressful environments.
  • Able to be flexible with schedule in order to meet requirements of department.
