This NP or PA would ideally need to have experience with both Hemodialysis and Peritoneal dialysis. He or she would oversee dialysis at our Auburn Satellite (about 50 pts total, 2-3 days a week in Auburn) and our Peritoneal Dialysis and Home Hemodialysis program (about 40 pts total, 2-3 days a week in Syracuse). The position would also involve ad hoc monthly Kidney Disease Education classes with 2 or 3 patients.

All work is at the dialysis units, office, free parking. Rarely need to come to UH.
Optional attendance at divisional CME activities and meetings.

NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required (NYS NP specialty area of certification must be consistent with practice). Must have NPI number and be Medicare Enrolled with Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) OR be eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire (eligibility criteria for NP requires National Certification through AANP or ANCC, and Master's Degree) (eligibility criteria for PA requires graduation from an accredited PA program and National Certification through NCCPA). Initial certification must be present or obtained within 6 months of hire. Experience with hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

M-F with optional Saturday rounds; pretty much 7 am-4 pm hours
