Job Summary: This position reports directly to management of the Upstate Cancer Center Clinical Trials Dept. The ideal candidate will be in charge of regulatory responsibilities for Cancer Center clinical trials along with support of the Cancer Center Budget Specialist. Job tasks include preparing IRB documents such as initial applications and continuing review reports, CRA support such as performing pre-site visits and obtaining start up documents, accrual reporting, and performing quality control through internal data monitoring and auditing. The Regulatory Specialist will also support CRAs through regulatory reporting (deviations, unanticipated problems, etc.) and by acting as a backup if needed, while ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Institutional Standard Operating Procedures. The Regulatory Specialist will also provide support to the Budget Specialist by acting as a backup, working in the Clinical Trials Management System, processing invoices, payments, and reimbursements, pushing charges through the CRA work queue when needed, and performing other budget related tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in research budgeting, billing, and CPT coding highly preferred. SoCRA or ACRP certification preferred.
