Job Summary
The Community/Business Enrollment Outreach Liaison position will promote enrollment opportunities to external agencies and conduct recruitment outreach for undergraduate STEM programs with explicit attention to computer science and computer engineering. Outreach will focus on traditional and online recruitment markets in-state and will facilitate regular connections with corporate, government/municipal entities, military audiences, and high school and community college STEM faculty. Through outreach efforts, the position will establish and develop relationships, identify demand, cultivate interest and recruit students. The position will maintain connections with external agencies and support students through a seamless transition to ODU. The position will manage documents that support the recruitment and relationship building efforts and added duties as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree in STEM, Business, Higher Education or another related field of study or Bachelor’s Degree plus equivalent experience to equal a Master’s Degree in those or a related field may be substituted.
• Excellent writing, computer and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to research and identify opportunities for growth;
• Ability to mediate potentially challenging situations in a positive manner;
• Ability to synthesize, clarify, and summarize succinctly complex and voluminous materials;
• Ability to identify solutions to problems and to oversee projects;
• Attention to detail;
• Ability to work independently on long-term projects;
• Ability to work with and coordinate the efforts of diverse groups of individuals and organizations within the University as well as outside.
Preferred Qualifications
• Some experience with legal agreements and state authorization procedures preferred.
• Some experience working with external partners in an academic or industrial setting preferred.
• Some experience working in a higher education setting preferred.
• Distance learning administration experience preferred.
