Job Summary  

PRADCO operates a Distribution Center, which employs 75 – 120 people processes thousands of deliveries each day. Forklift Operators are responsible for receiving, inventorying, processing, and shipping products. To push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products and other materials in the warehouse, the Forklift Operator drives and operates an electric powered industrial truck equipped with various lifting devices such as forks or an elevated platform. 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Places forks, a lifting platform, or another lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports them to the designated area. 

  • Unloads and stacks material using a lifting device that is raised and lowered. 

  • Inventory materials on the job site and resupply workers as needed. 

  • Weigh materials or products and record weight on tags, labels, or manufacturing schedules. 

  • Place or remove materials from pallets, skids, or lifting devices. 

  • Meeting project deliverables requires adhering to production rates and deadlines. 

Job Requirements  

  • High School Diploma or GED. 

  • Previous warehouse experience using a barcode inventory system. 

  • Previous forklift operating experience. 

  • Successful completion of forklift certification. 

Essential Job Functions   

  • Employee must be able to regularly lift or move upwards of 60 pounds, stand for up to ten hours a day, and at heights of up to 40 feet.      

  • Must accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide quantities; read and write; and work with limited supervisor instruction.  

  • Strong organizational, collaboration, and communication (verbal and written) abilities.  

  • Ability to safely operate a lift truck and perform responsibilities at heights of up to forty feet; use a barcode scanner, tablet, and labels to properly store and retrieve product required to complete multiple orders.  

  • The work environment is typical of an unacclimatized warehouse, with air temperatures fluctuating with the weather.
