Summary

We are seeking temporary staff to assist with parking management for Marymoor Park events. This position will participate in traffic control and parking lot management during events, monitor parking areas for violations, and complete lot compliance reports. This position requires the ability to work courteously and appropriately with the public in a variety of situations. This temporary position has a varied work schedule and requires working evenings and weekends.

Who is Eligible: This position is open to all qualified applicants 18 years or older
 
Work Location: Marymoor Park located at 6046 W. Lake Sammamish Pkwy NE in Redmond.

Work Schedule: The work schedule for this position is flexible; primarily evenings and weekends depending on event.  This position is non-exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is overtime eligible.

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent customer service in-person.
  • Direct traffic within Park to allow for smooth traffic flow. 
  • Direct customers to event parking. 
  • Monitor parking lots for parking compliance. 
  • Provide general park and event information to patrons. 
  • Collect parking and traffic flow data as needed.
  • Assist in other special event and parking fee management duties as assigned.

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

Required Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrates skill in providing and following oral and written instructions. 
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Skill in providing excellent customer service to a diverse customer base. 
  • Skill in communicating clearly and respectfully. 
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with other employees.
 Physical Requirements: 
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and split-shifts.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds. 
  • Ability to stand for up to three hours at a time and to walk on uneven surfaces. 
  • Ability to be outdoors in all weather conditions.
 Necessary Special Requirements:
  • An offer of employment will be contingent on successfully passing a criminal background check.  
  • Current Washington State driver’s license required.  
  • Additional certifications may be necessary.
