  • Plan, develop and implement a variety of professional development opportunities for staff and community partners to increase knowledge, skills, and competency.
  • Research & develop evidence-based behavioral health training programs for all BHN programs.
  • Collaborate with the four Institute directors and other stakeholders to identify training needs across programs.
  • Use a social justice lens and models on public health and community-based health perspective research to develop curricula for the adult learner.
  • Review, edit, monitor, and update existing curricula.
  • Develop and design curriculum and regulatory procedures to meet State and federal mandates.
  • Develop instructional materials for continuing education units for various licensure boards.
  • Facilitates online, hybrid, and onsite courses and training.

Clinical Training Specialist at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related behavioral health field and 5-7 years behavioral health and community-based knowledge required.
  • Master's Degree or above in Counseling, Social Work, or related behavioral health field (MA, M.Ed., MS, MSW, Public Health) preferred.
  • 5 years of licensure (LMHC, LCSW, LICSW) preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in collaboration and integration efforts in partnership with clinical staff and external community entities.
  • Practical experience in clinical and administrative utilization management strategies to ensure the appropriate level of care and quality of service.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-direction and the ability to work independently.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to motivate others.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Good understanding of health inequities and trauma-informed care systems from a social justice lens.
  • Computer skills (including knowledge of online learning management systems, audio-visual equipment, MS Office Suite, and webinar software).
